Suzanne Frances Kisseberth

Suzanne Frances Kisseberth, 83, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Orlando Health Central hospital in Ocoee, Florida with her loving family by her side.

Suzanne was born September 5, 1940, in Detroit, MI. She is the daughter of the late John L. and Genevieve (Horka) Toben. Sue was the long-time principal at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in Hazel Park, MI. Her family, her friends, and education were the three great loves of her life. She was raised in East Lansing, MI and graduated from St. Mary Academy in Monroe, MI before receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from her beloved Michigan State University.

Sue loved to travel and spent many summers enjoying northern Michigan with her family and friends. She took great pleasure in playing the piano and had many memories of her family singing around it through the years. She moved to Florida 8 years ago to be near her son Mark, where she had more great times, made more great friends, and became close with her daughter-in-law Jann’s family as well.

Suzanne’s faith was very important to her, evidenced by the way she lived her life. She was kind, truly loved people and had many treasured friends. She was a wonderful conversationalist and had a knack for engaging whomever she was speaking with, always an avid, concerned listener. Suzanne had a quick wit about her, always ready with a one-liner to make those around her laugh. She will be fondly remembered for her appreciation of a leisurely breakfast out and a daily bud light (to strengthen her bones).

She is survived and very much loved by her son Mark (Jann) Kisseberth, brother Tim Toben, niece Linda (Mark) Wade, and nephews Bruce (Julie) Colasanti, John (Audrey) Colasanti, Tim Toben, Rob (Maya) Colasanti, Kevin (Roxane) Toben, and many grand-nieces and nephews. Suzanne was predeceased by her sisters Joan Colasanti and Nancy Leavenworth, sister-in-law Jan Toben and brother-in-law R. Bruce Colasanti.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at Resurrection Church 1211 Winter Garden Vineland Road Winter Garden, FL 34787 on Saturday, February 24, 2024. at 11:00 a.m.
