Hettie Hauck Gridley was born on August 16, 1959 to Justine Ramey Hauck and Guenther Hauck in Springfield, MA. She graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1978. She was married and had two children. After losing her son at a young age, she persevered, earning her RN degree and caring for her daughter and mother. Her grandsons were the light in her eyes. Hettie helped raise both boys and loved taking them to Disney and Universal. She met and married the love of her life in 2012 and found true happiness. She was a lifelong Disney, The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.
She worked in various hospitals until she retired from Advent Celebration in 2022. Hettie loved collecting Disney memorabilia with her daughter, coloring, and recently found joy in making bracelets. She loved Disney trips with her extended family, spending time with her family and friends, and cruises. She began having heart issues which took a toll on her, and she succumbed on February 2, 2024.
Hettie is survived by her husband of 12 years Keith, her daughter Amanda Ashmore, her grandsons Nick and Erik Ashmore, her father Guy, her brother Guy Hauck Jr and his wife Mary, her best friends Julie Wiginton and Carol Parker, her adopted daughters Lori Ann Verstraten and Marianne Seegert, her fantastic in-law family John and Kim Gridley, Tim Gridley, Janine Mauvais and her husband Gasmick, David Pandich and his wife Susie, Tom Pandich, 10 nieces and nephews, 12 grand nieces and nephews. She also loved her friends at Celebration who were always there to support her. We will all miss her terribly.
She is predeceased by her son David, her mother Justine Calenti and her step-mother Peggy Hauck. A special thank you to Dr. Gabriel Nuriel for helping us walk through this journey all the way to the end.
