Jerdan Daniel Jackson

Deacon Jerdan Daniel Jackson, 90, of Orlando, transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Deacon Jackson was born on May 7, 1933 in Greenwood, Florida to the late Pecola Jackson and R A Granberry. Professionally, he was employed as a construction worker until he retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and being with his beloved family.

He was an active and faithful member of The Hope Church of Orlando. He served in several capacities, namely as a Deacon and with the Men’s Ministry. He was a servant of God who feared and loved the Lord with all his heart until his last breath. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew him.

Deacon Jackson breathed his last breath and put on his new robe of glory on February 11th. His ministry and legacy will live on in the hearts of his beloved children, Stephen (Tammy) Jackson, Otis Jackson, Barbara Jackson (Nils) Sims, Jerdan Jackson, Jr., Synthia Jackson; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; the entire Jackson family, colleagues he served with, and numerous friends. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the mortuary.

A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at The Hope Church of Orlando, 3032 Monte Carlo Trail, Orlando with Arch Bishop Allen TD Wiggins, eulogist. Interment: Washington park Cemetery, Orlando.
