Jasmine Poorandatt, 80 years old, from Oviedo, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1943 in Leonora, Guyana, to Phulmattie Bisessar and Harrichand Beharry.
She grew up in Leonora with her six siblings: Sundar, Modo, Sonalall, Evelyn, Biggs, and Hilda.
Jasmine will be deeply missed by all who know her. Her kindness, talent, and spirit will live on through the many lives she has touched. It was in the simple things in life Jasmine found great joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie Poorandatt, Sherry Mallay, and Amy Mercado. Her grandchildren Sean Mahendranauth, Steven Mahendranauth, Anjali Mercado, Samuel Mallay, Joshua Mallay, and Luis Mercado; her sister Hilda Hira; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
