It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen (Steve) Patrick Shea. He passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Sanford, FL on February 12, 2024 at the age of 58.
Steve was born to Herbert J. Shea Jr. and Anna M Shea on April 15, 1965 in Sanford Florida.
He is survived by his loving mother Anna Shea, his beloved daughter Kaleigh and son Daulton, his older brother John Shea, two younger brothers Kevin and Rick Shea, and little sister Karen Shea. He is predeceased by his father Herbert J Shea Jr.
Steve attended local schools and obtained his GED. He graduated from the Police Academy with honors. He served the community of Lake Mary, Florida as a police officer for 20 years.
Steve enjoyed reading, watching television, hunting, and fishing. He had a genuine love of the outdoors.
Steve was generous, thoughtful, and kind with a wry sense of humor.
His daughter, Kaleigh, worked at a local convenience store and Steve would spend her working hours socializing with regular store patrons. However, he was secretly watching over her.
Steve’s celebration of life will be held on March 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. the service will be held at All Souls Catholic Church Chapel at 800 Oak Ave. Sanford, FL 32771.
We who loved him will miss him dearly. However, we know his work here is done and he is free from all earthly worries, troubles, and pain.
