Diane Erhardt, born November 14, 1953, in Yorktown, New York, passed away peacefully at 5:30am, March 2, 2024. She was surrounded by her adoring family. Diane was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She loved spending time with family, cooking, eating good food, drying pretty flowers, reading and learning new facts, watching tennis, fashion, pampering herself with quality lotions and makeup, listening to Andrea Bocelli, and anything Italian and above all else, her children and grandchildren. Her kids and her grandkids were her pride and joy and those who spent any time around her likely heard countless stories about her family.
Diane spent much of her life working in the restaurant industry where she built countless meaningful connections with colleagues and customers. Many of her younger co-workers viewed her like a mom and talked to her about their personal struggles because they felt safe in her presence. Her smile and laugh lit up a room.
Her sweet, kind soul will always radiate among those who cherished her. Her thoughtful, gentle, compassionate, non-judgmental, and kind heart was one of a kind. She has forever imprinted the hearts and minds of her loved ones and community.
She is survived by her husband Scott Erhardt, children Daniel Keating, Nicole Keating, Vincent Keating, sister Betty Kaba, brother-in-law Joe Kaba, sister-in-law Jackie Massinello, daughters-in-law Cara Keating and Danielle Keating, niece Crystal Kaba and nephews Brian Kaba and Lenny Cirino, and grandkids Colby, Lawson, and Kendall, honorary “brother” Joe Castoral, and four grandchildren Oliver and Jude.
