Ted W. Price Jr. 56 of Windermere, FL passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2024 at AdventHealth, In Orlando, Florida. Ted was born on July 15, 1967 in Rockledge, FL. He was the only child of Ted W. Price Sr and Ella Hudicka Price.
Ted grew up on Merritt Island playing multiple sports and enjoying time at the beach and on the water. Ted graduated from Merritt Island High School and attended the University of Central Florida earning a degree in Finance. Ted worked as a Financial Analyst for several Defense Contractors locally and in Alexandria, VA. Ted met Jody at AdventHealth Orlando when she cared for his father in CCU.
Ted and Jody married in 2002 at a destination wedding and started their travels together in Hawaii. Ted loved travel and together he and Jody traveled frequently over their 22 years together. Ted’s favorite destination was the Caribbean. He loved sailing on small vessels once sailing a catamaran in the BVI with friends and multiple trips with Jody to sail on Island Windjammers Tall Ships enjoying small islands throughout the Southern Caribbean. Ted loved spending time at beach bars with beautiful views and meeting local people when he wasn’t snorkeling.
Ted visited Italy for his 50th birthday and named his beloved tuxedo kitten Cosimo (di Medici) in honor of his birthday trip. Ted recently enjoyed reuniting with his extended family in Altoona, PA and exploring his family history. Ted loved spending time by the water and his favorite meals had views of a lake, the river, or a beach. Ted was an avid reader who read biographies, mysteries, adventures and graphic novels. He usually had an audio book playing while he worked complex spreadsheets on multiple screens. Ted loved spending time with friends and family and was quick to host a cookout.
He always enjoyed evenings on the boat and loved seeing the nightly fireworks from the water on occasion. He took care of those he loved and would do anything to help them when needed. He helped in the complex care of his Mother-in-Law, Vera for over a decade and was a constant support to her taking her lots of outings frequently involving shopping , lunch, and a milkshake or doughnut. Vera loved his visits and always brightened when she saw his face.
Ted is survived by his wife Jody Price, his aunt and uncle Marge and Istvan Misits of Cocoa, FL. and his cousin Susan Green Brodersen, her husband Paul and their daughter Ella of Longwood, Fl. Ted was beloved by his family and will be missed by the many friends he made throughout his lifetime.
