Pedro Confessor Cruz was born on March 5, 1944 in Humacao, Puerto Rico to pastor Anastacio Cruz and missionary Francisca Rivera.
At the age of 18, Pedro moved to Brooklyn, New York to establish a better life for himself where he taught himself to work on vehicles and became an exceptional mechanic. He was a loving father and an excellent role model to his 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He taught his family to love God first above all else and to trust God no matter what. He lead a life of faithfulness to God and served his community as a pastor, a counselor and a church musician. Much like the biblical Pedro, our Pedro was strong willed, outspoken, and a rock to many people.
Although his life was filled with struggles, he never lost his faith in God. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
