Francis McNutt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francis “Joann” McNutt who departed from this world on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Kissimmee, FL. She left this world surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom that will forever be cherished.

Joan was born on August 24, 1940, in Knoxville, TN. She lived a life filled with unwavering dedication to those she loved.

She moved to St. Cloud in 1963. She was a graduate from St. Cloud High School. She was a faithful servant and lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She called both the Kissimmee and St. Cloud congregations her home over the past few decades.

Joan was with the Osceola County School Board for over 30 years and retired from Ross E. Jeffries Elementary School. She dedicated her life to working with the students at REJE. She performed duties such as school nurse, teaching assistant and assistant to the ESE students.

Joan is known as Mom, Mamaw, and affectionately as “Mildred” by her son, nieces, nephews, and friends of the family.

Though our hearts ache with the loss of our dear Mom and Mamaw, we take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her son and other loved ones who have gone before her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to live on in our hearts.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Hazel Stout, her sister, Cheryl “Jane” Woodruff and son, Ricky Lee McNutt.

She is survived by sister, Jackie Stout, brother, Steve Stout (Janet); daughter, Robin Wells (Jim), son, Jimmy McNutt (Franny); grandchildren, Billy Garner (Mary), Cassey Moon (John), Jarrett McNutt (Julia) & Marlana McNutt; great-grandchildren, Croix, Creux and great granddaughter, Callie

Reception will be held at Kissimmee Bay, which is located at 2801 Kissimmee Bay Blvd. in Kissimmee, FL from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
