Deputies ID victim of fatal domestic shooting in Orlando

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman who was fatally shot during a domestic altercation in Orlando early Sunday morning.

According to OCSO, the victim in this case has been identified as 35-year-old Sharima Martin.

On Sunday, March 17, at around 2 a.m., OCSO deputies responded to the intersection of S Apopka Vineland Road and Lake Bryan Beach Boulevard in reference to shots being fired in the area, according to the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located a woman, Martin, who had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and she later died from her injuries.

“This incident is domestic in nature and there are no outstanding suspects,” stated OCSO in a media release on Sunday.

On Monday morning, the sheriff’s office advised that the homicide investigation is still active.

No further details were released regarding the suspected shooter in this case.
