Latoya Desha Butler was born in September 3, 1986 to Phyllis Butler and Terry Butler, Sr. Latoya, spent her early years in Winter Park, Florida.

She would later reside in Eatonville and Pine Hills, Florida. As a teen, Latoya attended Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida. During the course of her life, she married Nicholas Smith, Sr., and was blessed with two children; Alyssa Smith and Nicholas Smith,Jr. Later in 2016, she welcomed twin boys: Aiden and Adam Russ, Jr., into the world with her then boyfriend; Adam Russ, Sr. Latoya was characterized by her no-nonsense and fiery spirit.

Indeed, the absence of Latoya will be deeply felt. Her vibrant spirit and tenacious nature made her a beloved, well-loved figure amongst her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. A life as impactful as hers leaves a lasting important imprint, a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will not be forgotten.
