Walter Nelson

Walter Nelson was born on July 2, 1954 in Opelika, Alabama to Farmer Nelson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Parker Nelson.

Walter graduated in 1972 from Apopka High School, Apopka, Florida. After graduating from high school Walter enlisted in the Military in 1974 and served until 1977.

Walter Nelson was united in Holy Matrimony to Gwendolyn Nelson in 1980. To this union they shared many years of love and happiness. If love alone could have kept you my dear, you would still be here today.

For many years Walter was employed by the following restaurants: Perkins, Barn Hill and the Catfish Place, all in Apopka, Florida as a Chef.

Walter Nelson was preceded in death by his father: Farmer Nelson, Sr.; grandparents: Adolphus Parker and Pernolia Ingram Parker, Will Nelson and Sara Nelson; daughter: Jennifer Johnson.

On March 10, 2024 in Palm Bay, Florida, the angel of the Lord called Walter Nelson home. His departure is leaving a void in the hearts of his family and friends.

Nelson (Murlice), Apopka, FL; sister: Shirley Ann Pryor, Forest City, FL; aunts: Vera Adkins, Opelika, AL, Barbara Coleman, Syracuse, NY and Diane Parker, Syracuse, NY; uncles: Ingram Parker (Carolyn), Phenix City, AL, James Parker (Nadine), Syracuse, NY; special Nieces: Sharhunda Johnson; special nephew: Kevin Johnson; raised as a daughter: Jayana Miller; a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
