A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the 2020 shooting death of an Ocoee High School football player.
On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the Orlando Police Department announced that the suspected gunman in this case, identified as Christopher Burke, was apprehended by law enforcement and transported to Orange County Jail.

At the time of the shooting, Rentz was an 18-year-old senior at Ocoee High School. He was a standout football player and had committed to playing college football at the University of Louisville on a full scholarship.
The suspect in this case, Burke, is currently being held at Orange County Jail without bond. He is being charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.
