Teresa A. Preston

Teresa Annette Preston, loving daughter, beautiful sister, dedicated auntie and committed friend, was born in Winter Garden, Florida, October 6, 1966, to Emily James and Moses Lillie. Teresa, known as “Ree”.

She graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida in 1984, where she was an outstanding basketball player. Teresa obeyed the Gospel of Christ, accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and was baptized into Christ on October 13, 2021. Teresa was a member of Foundations Christian Church and served faithfully.

Before undergoing the most courageous fight of her life against cancer, Teresa was employed in food service with Orange County Public Schools. Teresa took on her battle with cancer with all the courage and fight she had exhibited over her life. Challenged with understanding “Why her?”, with Christ she began to learn that this was the journey that would get her to heaven. From that moment, she regained the smile, passion, and zest for living that she is known for.

She enjoyed attending Orlando Magic games with family, going to movies with her sisters, supporting the special moments in the lives of her nieces and nephews, and just excelling at loving people. She gave what she had, and that was herself. Teresa was very outgoing and loved life and her family.

She was so proud of each nephew and niece in her family. She poured herself into seeing them have a blessed life. Teresa Annette Preston was preceded in death by her mother: Emily Royal, father: Moses Lillie, brothers: Terry Lillie, and Anthony Lillie. Teresa was called to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She went home telling God, “I’m coming, I’m coming, I’m coming”!
