Suspect arrested in fatal shooting at Orlando pool hall

Orlando police recently arrested a 31-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed another man at a local pool hall last month.

On Friday, April 5, the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Investigative Unit located and arrested Theodric D. Camps in connection with the shooting death of 35-year-old Jeremy J. Powell.

At around 8:05 p.m. on March 2, a 911 caller reported that a male victim, Powell, had been shot at Chill Game Room located at 3918 Columbia Street, according to OPD.

Upon arrival at the incident location, OPD officers located Powell. He had sustained a gunshot wound, and he was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

OPD detectives launched an investigation, which ultimately led to them identifying Camps as the prime suspect. No further details were provided by Orlando police.

After Camps was taken into custody by law enforcement, he was transported to Orange County Jail. He is being charged with second-degree murder with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
