One dead after shooting in Orlando’s Taft neighborhood

Update: The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as 39-year-old Juan Luis Cintron Garcia.

A shooting incident in an Orlando neighborhood left one man dead on Wednesday night.

Shortly after 9:45 p.m., Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 9600 block of 8th Avenue in reference to shots being fired, according to OCSO.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located a man in his 30s who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The victim was not identified by law enforcement.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated in a media release that the investigation is “active and ongoing.” No additional information was provided regarding this case or any potential suspect(s).
