Orlando Camargo Jr.

Orlando Camargo Jr, born September 13, 1973 passed away on April 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones who continue to lean on each other during this time.

Born in Queens NY to Orlando Camargo Sr and Armantina Camargo, he spent most of his childhood in Miami. During his teen years and adolescence, his family moved to Lake Mary, FL. He would later graduate from Lake Mary High School in 1992.

After graduation, he entered the US Navy (1992-1996) where he served four years on the USS Estocin. He began as a Deck Seaman, then a GMG. He also attended SAR school and was the ship’s Rescue Swimmer.

In his final year in the military, he met his future wife Jackie (Arnett), in May of 1995, and would be in married in May 1997. They have 2 wonderful sons together, Diego Camargo (24yrs) and Mateo Camargo (17yrs).

Orlando’s first set of jobs out of the military were loss prevention positions for local retail stores, before training in the field of Information Technology where he held several positions. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree, and this July would have been his 12th year with Sears Home Improvement (now called Transformco) with their IT department.

Orlando was an avid athlete who loved to try anything that was a hard challenge. He especially loved exercising with his brother Danny Camargo. From Weightlifting, CrossFit, to cycling in 100+ mile races, his latest goal was training for his first triathlon.

He is survived by his wife Jackie (Arnett) and their two sons, Diego Camargo & Mateo Camargo. His parents Orlando Camargo Sr & Armantina (Callejas) Camargo. His brother Danny Camargo & wife Jill Farris, their 2 children Isabella Camargo & Donovan Camargo. Sister Vanessa (Camargo) Esterbrook & husband Devin Esterbrook, their 2 children Sienna Esterberook & Aeriss. Esterbrook. His in-laws who loved him like one of their own- Ronald & Janet Arnett, Jeanna & David Redlin, Jenise Tooley, Amy Arnett & Jon Heffernan, and Michael & Misty Arnett.

A celebration of life will be held April 27, at 4 p.m. at the Longwood Community Building 200 W Warren Ave. Longwood, FL.
