Myrtle Maye Allison

Myrtle Maye Allison of Orlando, Florida, passed away on April 8, 2024 at the age of 95.

She had significant Jamaican connections and spent the greater part of her adult life in England before retiring to Orlando.
Interestingly, when Myrtle moved to Florida from England, she immediately sought and found the local church Christ the King Episcopal. She instantly received a warm welcome from the church upon her arrival which left a lasting effect on her that she constantly applaud them for making her feel homely. One of the first people she met was Deacon Pat Roberts who introduced her to Father Lynn who in turn introduced her to the congregation that have always treated her like a part of the family. She was embraced by her brothers and sisters in Christ, at Christ the King Episcopal Church up to the day of her passing.

After completing her education at the General Nursing Council for England and Wales, she worked as a Senior Registered Nurse for Southmead General Hospital in Bristol, England.

Her membership with the General Nursing Council for England and Wales was life-long.

Myrtle is survived by her loving family of Brothers: Ferdinand, Dan, John and Prince, Sisters: Floris, Violet (Vie) and Gloria, Daughter: Glenice, Sons: Barry, Selvin, Michael and Paul. Grand Children: Janice, Cerita, Richard, Ryan, Andrew, Michelle, Selvin Jr., Luke, Bianca, Gary, Michael and Kevin, Great-Grandchildren, Joelle, Annabel, Jonathan, Malik, Dominic, Malachi, Kalyssa, Isiah, Michael, Ariela,Yasmin, Kevin and John. Myrtle is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her devoted cousin Windsor.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Jane Wright and Father, Lorenzo Wright.

Visitation will be held on April 21, 2024 at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Dr., Orlando, FL 32807 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Christ the King Episcopal Church,26 Willow Dr., Orlando, FL 32807, with the Reverend Dr. Jose Rodriguez officiating, followed by reception at the same venue.
