Remercia Mona Charles

Remercia Mona Charles was born on January 5, 1954, in Baraderes, Haiti to the late Geamene Jean Baptiste and Mersedoine Charles. She was one of the eldest siblings of four.

Her Father passed away when she had already given birth to her first four children in Haiti by the late Eli Blanchard. Her first four children were Carlo Blanchard, Elcame Blanchard, Cliphode Blanchard, and Nadia Blanchard. Her mother on the other hand was alive to see her give birth to not only her first four but her last three children, Vigens Blanchard, Rooby Blanchard, and Brice Blanchard. A

lthough she never got married nor the opportunity to attend school, that didn’t stop her from being the great hardworking and loving mother, grandmother that she was.

In her hometown, Remercia would do work on farmland with her mother. She had become a cultivator who had knowledge in agriculture. Through this, and other work she provided food shelter and a way of life for her children as well as her siblings and her mother. As the years went on, her first four children became teenagers while giving birth to two more children in Haiti: Vigens Blanchard and Rooby Blanchard. Her mother who had already been sent to the United States through her younger sister Jeanne St. Felix, had requested that Remercia get sent to the United States with her to seek a better life for her children and create opportunities for her family. She was already pregnant with her last child while she traveled to the states and eventually gave birth to her last child in the United States in 1994

In the states, Remercia Charles did everything in her power to make sure that her children and her husband were in the right path to eventually join her in the States. Her first few jobs in the states included babysitting, stocking positions in furniture stores, cashier at a local laundromat and eventually landing to her last job as a stocker in a factory called Wendy’s cosmetic Co. Remercia was full of laughter, joy, and had the biggest heart; she was lovable, forgiving, merciful and humble. She never let her adversities taint her capability to love if anything it made her love harder.

Remercia was a huge family person altogether she had sixteen grandchildren, Carlson Blanchard being the first grandson from her eldest son Carlo, alongside Tatiana Blanchard, Carley Blanchard, Killy Blanchard, Keisha Blanchard, Dymari Blanchard, Teyana Blanchard, Nathaniel Blanchard, Adriana Blanchard, Malaya Blanchard, Gaelle Blanchard, Brithnie Hazzard Blanchard, Zahir Blanchard, Michael Blanchard, Marcley Blanchard and Jimika Cadet. Nothing meant more to her than taking care of her grandchildren. You couldn’t separate her from them. She loved action moves and would throw a fit if you changed the channel on her WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW/ FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN WRESTLING. She told jokes, loved dancing, and overall was a great example of love and beacon to the family.

She leaves behind to mourn her 7 children: Carlo Blanchard, Elcame Blanchard, Cliphode Blanchard, Nadia Blanchard, Vigens Blanchard, Rooby Blanchard, Brice Blanchard and her last son she took in Jacob Blanchard as well as her sixteen grandchildren who were all raised by her and knew how much she loved them dearly. Knowing how great of a mother, grandmother, as well as a friend and someone who you could confide in. From her strength to endure and her ability to love beyond imaginable, we will all miss her very much. WE LOVE YOU FOREVER
