Woman killed in 3-vehicle crash on I-95 in Volusia

A 38-year-old woman from Palm Coast was killed on Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 95 in Volusia County.

The fatal accident occurred at around 3:42 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95, south of U.S. 1 (mile marker 272), in Ormond Beach.

According to a preliminary report from the Florida Highway Patrol, three vehicles – a 2023 Toyota Corolla, 2013 Ford Fiesta, and 2022 Ford Ranger – were involved in the crash.

FHP stated that evidence shows that one of the drivers involved, the 38-year-old woman, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The report did not specify which vehicle she was driving at the time of the accident.

No further details were provided by FHP regarding the cause of the crash, the other individuals involved, or if they sustained any injuries.

Due to the multi-vehicle accident, the northbound lanes on I-95 are currently blocked near the scene of the accident.

This crash remains under investigation, according to FHP.
