Pamela Jean Doyle

Pamela Jean Doyle, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, Feb 12, 2023 surrounded by her son, James and her friends and neighbors that she made since moving to Florida in 1997.

Pam fought five battles with breast and ovarian cancer since 2008 and between each treatment round enjoyed an active, vibrant and full life that included cruises, vacations with her son and friends, her 50th high school reunion, teaching water aerobics, volunteering at the Wayne Dentsch Theatre and providing legal assistance to a number of people with matters small and large.

Pamela was born on June 17, 1946 in Norwood, Massachusetts to the late Peter B. Dulkis and Margaret A. Sears. She married her sole husband of 45 years, Leo G. Doyle in 1967 who passed away in 2012.

She is survived by her son, James R. Doyle, of Medford, MA, a sister Annemarie Flynn of Southington, Connecticut and a brother Peter of Massachusetts as well as a very large extended family.

Pamela leaves a special farewell to the Norwood High Class of ’64, her cousin Nancy Jesseau of Norwood and Blanche Davis, a special Aunt, also of Norwood, MA. Pamela will be remembered for empathy, generosity and kindness and her light-hearted sense of humor and breezy nature.

Pam was a classic Beach Girl in the 1960s and always looked forward to Summertime to take any chance at hand to escape to the Beach and then hit a clam shack or ice cream stand. Her son James is planning a final farewell tour for her with a little part of her this summer when the two of them will visit Pam’s favorite Beaches on Cape Cod and spend some days in the sand and surf under the late August sun.
