A criminal investigation into falsified time sheets has led to the arrest of an Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

On Thursday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced that one of its corporals, identified as Oxilise Jeannot, has been charged with felony grand theft ($5,000 or more) and scheme to defraud in connection with the falsification of time sheets, according to OCSO.

Jeannot was hired by the sheriff’s office in September of 2017. Due to the ongoing criminal investigation, she has been relieved of all law enforcement duties without pay while the criminal case is underway.

Once the criminal proceedings have concluded, an OCSO administrative investigation will be conducted, and the results of that investigation will be made public.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina released the following statement regarding Jeannot’s arrest:

“At the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, we hold our deputies to the highest ethical standards, and we will not tolerate anyone breaking the law within our ranks.”

No further details were provided by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Earlier this week, a Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputy resigned after being accused of sexually assaulting a female victim.
