Emma “Gemmy” Crozier Brown

10/6/1934 to 5/16/2024

Daughter of George Knowles Maison and Mary K Scott Maison. She was born in Upland, PA. Gemmy was the 4th of 5 daughters.

After a long and well lived life, Gemmy died at the age of 89 at Vitality of Lake Forrest, in Sanford, FL under Hospice care.

Gemmy was a passionate volunteer, and member of the Dunedin Fine Arts Center, Friends of the Library, the library CLIC project, Junior League sustainers, the Rotary club and served on many boards and committees in her 40 years as a resident in Dunedin, FL. Gemmy was an avid fundraiser for the Dunedin Library, a “Points of Light” recipient from the Governor at the time, Jeb Bush, a Campaign Manager for former commissioner, Janet Henderson, and a member of the Florida Arts Guild.

Gemmy was a loving, kind and generous woman who adored her family and friends. She was a consummate hostess with flair and panache.

Her surviving family members include two daughters, Natalie K Garris of Sorrento, FL and Claudia Mitchell (Dean) of Washington, DC and Stepchildren Kendall Kline (Scott), Ragan Brown, Tad Brown (Kathy), 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Gemmy was predeceased by her two great loves, husbands Donald R Howard and Coleman T Brown, in addition to her sisters Mary Gray Rauscher, Janet Maison, Ann Dwyer and Francis Maison.
