This month, Southwest Airlines is adding new routes from Orlando to six international destinations.
On Tuesday, June 4, the airline will begin offering flights from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Cancun, Mexico; Grand Cayan, Cayman Islands; Nassau, Bahamas; Providenciales, Turks & Caicos; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and San Jose, Costa Rica.
According to MCO, four of those international routes (Cancun, San Jose, Punta Cana, and Nassau) are new destinations for Southwest, while the other two routes (Grand Cayan and Providenciales) are new destinations for the airport.
During the upcoming week, Southwest will also resume service at MCO to six destinations in the United States.
Beginning on Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, August 4, Southwest will offer flights from Orlando to Albuquerque, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas.
In addition, Southwest will resume service to Jackson, Mississippi (June 8 – August 3); Sacramento, California (June 8 – August 3); Salt Lake City, Utah (June 8 – August 4); and Long Beach, California (June 8 – November 2).
Since 1996, Southwest Airlines has flown out of Orlando International Airport, offering daily, nonstop flights to dozens of cities across the United States. The airline currently operates out of Terminal A, Gates 101-129.
