Cecilia Mary Shipeky nee Molyneux, (Celia) died suddenly May 10th 2024, in Winter Park Florida, after a long struggle with Vascular Dementia, at the age of 83.

She is survived by her loving husband Rudolph (Rudy), her sister Anne, brother-in-law Gerry, 11 nieces and nephews, and 21 grand nieces and nephews. Cecilia was predeceased by her parents, Kitty and John Molyneux, (UK) her two brothers John and Paul Molyneux, (UK) her sister Barbara (Babs) (USA), nieces Anne, nephews Simon and Ian Richard. (UK)

Cecilia was born in Prestatyn UK., during WW11, because her mother was evacuated to North Wales during nightly bombings in Liverpool. UK. She grew up in Liverpool went to St. Oswald’s catholic school. Celia was very active in the Girl Guide Movement, gaining her Queen’s Guide Award. (Eagle Scout Award) At the age of 15 she left school and went to work as a clerk in a downtown Liverpool office.

While there she attended daily noon day Mass, at St Mary’s, Liverpool. At the age of 24 she emigrated to Brooklyn , New York. She worked for Barclays Bank in Manhattan, where she met her husband of 44 years. Later Rudy’s job with AT&T moved them to Greensboro North Carolina, Cecilia went to work at First Federal Bank there. After retirement they were both very active in St Paul the Apostle RC Church, Greensboro, They helped in the pantry for the homeless, they were also ministers of Consolation, and Eucharistic Ministers.
