Detectives seek person of interest in fatal Orlando shooting

Detectives have released a photo of a person who is wanted for questioning in connection with a deadly shooting in an Orlando neighborhood that claimed the life of a man early Sunday morning.

At around 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 7900 block of Sapphire Lane in Orlando in reference to shots being fired. When deputies arrived, they found a man in his 30s who had sustained a gunshot wound.

The male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his fatal injuries. His name was not released by the sheriff’s office.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Sunday, OCSO shared a photo of a man who has been identified by homicide detectives as a person of interest in the fatal shooting that occurred on Sapphire Lane.
