Janet Jackson is headlining a concert at the Kia Center in Orlando this weekend, and she will be joined by special guest Nelly.
The event will be held at the Kia Center (400 W Church Street) this Saturday, July 20. Tickets are still available in multiple sections throughout the venue.
A singer, actress, and dancer, Jackson became a pop icon following the release of her third and fourth studio albums, Control and Rhythm Nation 1814.
In 1991, Jackson signed the first of two record-breaking, multi-million-dollar contracts with Virgin Records, establishing her as one of the highest-paid artists in the world.
Throughout her lengthy career, Jackson has sold over 100 million records and holds the record for the most consecutive top-10 entries on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by a female artist with 18. She is also the only artist in the history of the chart to have seven commercial singles from one album peak within the top five positions.
Jackson’s accolades include five Grammy Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards, 11 American Music Awards, an Academy Award nomination, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and eight Guinness World Records entries. She has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
During this Saturday’s concert, rapper and singer Nelly will also take the stage.
Nelly has released eight studio albums, which earned him three Grammy Awards and nine Billboard Music Awards. He also has multiple hit singles, including “Hot in Herre,” “Dilemma” (featuring Kelly Rowland), “Over and Over” (featuring Tim McGraw), and “Just a Dream,” to name a few.
