The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in an Orlando neighborhood that claimed the life of a 66-year-old man.

On Friday, July 26, at around 11:20 p.m., OCSO deputies responded to the 800 block of W Lancaster Road in reference to shots being fired, according to the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived, they found a man, later identified as 66-year-old Ronald Steve Roberts, who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital.

Three days later, on Monday, July 29, Roberts died from his injuries.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
