Craig Van Hooven died peacefully at home on July 30, 2024 in Longwood, Florida at the age of 68, with his wife by his side.

Craig is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cerese, and their sons, Christopher Van Hooven and Cole Van Hooven (Alexis), and his precious granddaughter, Violet. Craig is also survived by 2 brothers, Curt Van Hooven (Kathleen) and James Kruger (Donna) of Atlanta and 2 sisters, Cheryl Van Hooven of New York City and Jackie Ellison (John) of Atlanta. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Kruger (Atlanta), his father George E. Van Hooven (Chicago) and stepfather Gerald S. Kruger (Atlanta).

Craig was born December 12, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois to Beatrice and George Van Hooven. Craig and Cerese were married in Atlanta in 1977 and moved to Central Florida in 1981 when Craig began his sales career with Gulfstream Air. Craig quickly learned to appreciate and love Florida’s environment. He and Cerese raised their 2 sons to also respect the natural beauty and lifestyle of Florida. Eventually, Craig founded Van Hooven and Associates from which he retired in 2022.

Craig’s funeral mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church located at 1020 Montgomery Road in Altamonte Springs on Friday, August 23 at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Craig’s life.
