Former ‘American Idol’ contestant coming to House of Blues Orlando

Former American Idol contestant Tori Kelly is bringing her Purple Skies Tour to Orlando this fall.

On Wednesday, October 9, Kelly will perform at House of Blues Orlando, which is located at 1490 E Buena Vista Drive in Orlando. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m.

Kelly is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. She first gained recognition on YouTube as a teenager and made it onto the popular singing competition television series American Idol in 2010, where she was eliminated during Hollywood week.

In 2013, Kelly released her first major-label release, an EP titled “Foreword.” Two years later, her studio album “Unbreakable Smile” peaked at number two on the Billboard 200, and it featured the singles “Nobody Love,” “Should’ve Been Us,” and “Hollow.”

Kelly’s 2018 studio album “Hiding Place” peaked at number 35 on the Billboard 200 chart and received Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song.

Throughout her career, Kelly has released five studio albums. In addition, she was nominated for Best New Artist at the 58th Grammy Awards, and she voiced Meena in the animated films Sing and Sing 2.

Tickets are on sale for the upcoming concert in Orlando, starting at $41.25 for general admission.
