With heavy hearts, we announce that Sandra Prairie, 77, passed away on August 14 at her home in Orlando, FL, surrounded by her children.
Originally from Matteson, IL, Sandra was quick-witted with a great sense of humor. She was a devoted mother to her three amazing children, and loved nothing more than doting on her grandsons. Sandra also kept a close-knit group of friends from childhood until the end, and, after she moved to Orlando, was rarely seen without one of her dogs, Gracie or Tucker.
Throughout her life, Sandra always loved being a part of her children’s activities, including the school PTA and their many sports. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outside and gardening.
Preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Gertrude Prairie, and her sister, Judy Prairie Schultz, and leaving a legacy through daughter Stephanie Gavin (Tim), daughter Megan Shore, son Jason Shore (Donna), grandsons Shamus, Brody and Grant, sister Celeste Prairie Devoss and brother Timm Prairie (Debbie), Sandra’s memory will be a shining star for all who knew her.
