Pedro Silva, aged 84, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2024, in Altamonte Springs, FL. Born on August 1, 1940, in Castillo, Dominican Republic, to Miguel and Cecilia Silva. Pedro’s life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and unwavering dedication.
Pedro is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 53 years, Milagros Silva. Their journey began in New York City in 1971, continued through Chelsea, MA, in 1989, and brought them to Altamonte Springs, FL, in 2005, where they built a life full of warmth and joy.
Pedro was a proud and loving father to his children: Edwin, Mildred, Peter, Jessica, and Luis. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Zyel, Sophia, Demiya, Alexander, Anthony, Omar, Luis, Zoe, and Phoebe, who will forever hold his memory close. He also deeply valued his daughters-in-law and sons-in-law, Amanda, Andreina, Erin, David, and Rudy, who brought joy and support to his life.
Pedro is survived by his beloved siblings: Thomasito, Francisca, Magdalena, Anarita, Zoriada, and Paula, with whom he shared countless treasured moments.
A man of many passions, Pedro loved movies, baseball, gardening, dominoes, telling stories, music, but most of all dancing. Known for owning the dance floor at every party he attended, he brought energy and joy wherever he went.
His strong Catholic faith was his guiding light. He believed that the Lord showed him the way, providing comfort and strength in every challenge he faced. He was a devoted member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Casselberry, FL, where he proudly served as a Knight of Columbus.
Pedro’s life was also marked by a strong work ethic and dedication to his various roles. He worked as a taxi driver, a superintendent in New York City, and in the engineering department at the Sheraton Hotel, demonstrating his commitment to providing for his family.
Pedro’s kindness, generosity, and readiness to help others will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His infectious laughter and charismatic presence brightened every room he entered. Above all, Pedro’s profound devotion to his Catholic faith and his service to God and others defined his remarkable life.
