George Wimbish

George Wimbish, 80, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away August 23rd, 2024. His loving wife of 46 years, Judy and daughter Jamie were by his side as he was called back into the hands of our Lord.

George was born in Danville, Virginia on January 10, 1944 to George Edmond Wimbish Sr., and Mary Jane Johnson Wimbish.

He grew up in a very large family made up of 4 sisters and 11 brothers.

In his life, he Incorporated several businesses, acquired a Real Estate License, and was an investor. He worked hard and enjoyed the things he did.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Past Patron of the Eastern Star, Shriner and former officer in the Jaycees. He ran for US Senate in 1984 and though he did not win, he stayed involved with politics.

Surviving him is his Wife Judy, daughters Sandra (Robert), Jamie (Hung) and Son Mark (Holly). Six grandchildren, Andy (Anupama Anchala), Michael, Kaleigh (David), Daniel, Kevin, and Amanda. Four great- grandchildren, Bruce, Riya, Sai and Evangeline. Sisters Virginia and Vickie (Larry), Brothers James “Jim” and Jack (Joyce). Brother-in- Law Randy Phillips (Margie) Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, far too many to name.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-In-law Clifford Phillips, and mother-in -law Nila Gradine and 12 Siblings.
