A Seminole County man has claimed a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket that he purchased at a local convenience store.
On Thursday, September 12, the Florida Lottery announced that 54-year-old Chuluota resident Jason Henderson visited their headquarters in Tallahassee to collect a $1 million top prize from THE PRICE IS RIGHT scratch-off game.
Henderson chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
Henderson purchased his winning ticket from MJM Food Store, which is located at 670 S County Road 419 in Chuluota. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The $5 scratch-off game, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, offers nearly $80 million in total cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $1 million. The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4, according to lottery officials.
