8 displaced after fire destroys Pine Hills home

Eight people were displaced early Monday morning after their home in Pine Hills became engulfed in flames.

According to Orange County Fire Rescue, multiple units responded to Fernhill Drive on Monday, September 16, after receiving reports of house fire in the area.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and flames rising from the residence.

“Thankfully, all occupants made it out safely,” stated OCFR in a social media post. Those occupants included five adults and three children.

OCFR crews attacked the “heavy fire,” eventually extinguishing the flames.

There were no injuries reported.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
