Janice Lee Howard

Janice Lee Howard, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Born on January 25, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the beloved daughter of Walter and Helen Ostberg.

A dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse, Janice proudly graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Nursing in 1960. Her career began at Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she worked from 1960 to 1963. Her journey then led her to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she continued her nursing career at Kaiser Hospital. It was in Hawaii that Janice met the love of her life, Joe Howard, and they began a remarkable 60-year journey together.

Janice is survived by her adoring husband, Joe Howard. She leaves behind her cherished sons, Keith and Kevin Howard; Kevin’s wife, Jessica; and Keith’s partner, Laura. Janice’s legacy also includes her beloved grandsons, Ryan, George, and Joseph, who brought immense joy to her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen Ostberg, and her brother, Neil John Ostberg Jr.

A memorial service to honor Janice’s life will be held at All-Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry, FL, on Saturday, September 14, at 11 a.m.
