It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Fostines on September 18, 2024, at the age of 96. Peter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was a testament to love, generosity, and unwavering kindness.
Born on June 17, 1928, in Massillon, Ohio, Peter’s passion for music led him to a long and impactful career with Camelot Music. His love for music shaped much of his life and brought joy to those around him.
Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Panagiota (Tula), who passed away on February 14, 2018, as well as by his brothers John and Crist. He is survived by his two daughters, Tina Wells (Edward) and Angela Wilson (Chris); his two sisters, Doris Thanos and Angeline Paul; his grandchildren Nicholas Wells, Paige Read (TJ), Mitchell Wilson (Laura), Taylor Spoerl (George), and Jacob; and his great-grandchildren Peter, Ralph, and Lukas.
Peter was an avid golfer, car enthusiast and well-known for his talent as a traditional Greek dancer, lighting up many family celebrations with his grace and energy. In his later years, he lived at the Summit of Winter Garden, where he was loved by both staff and residents, becoming one of their favorites and forming a second family that cherished him deeply. He was always ready with a hug and a joke.
Peter will be remembered for the love, laughter, and wisdom he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and his extended family at the Summit of Winter Garden forever. May his memory be eternal.
