Elicieux Eligene affectionately known as “Joe” was born on November 02, 1948, in the city of Port-Margot, Haiti.
He was raised in a big family with 14 siblings. After graduating high school in Haiti, he worked in agriculture. He moved to the United States in 1980 and was employed in the construction field. Joe worked tirelessly to assist his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews to migrate to America.
Joe was the first in his family to migrate to America. He spent more than 25 years living in Texas. Later, he moved to Florida to be closer to his family and resided with his sister, Ms. Priduex Etienne and niece Lucilia Etienne.
Joe was a caring and kind man. He is the reason a majority of the family was able to move to America. Joe had a major impact on his family and will be missed dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memories; His siblings: Pierre Bertin, Jeanine Bertin, Eli Bertin, Clodette Bertin, Louise Bertin and Marguerite Nicole Bertin. Fond memories were shared with the Victor Family, Etienne Family, Bertin family, Jacques family and the Louise Family.
