Man hits McDonald’s employees during argument over food order, police say

Sanford police are looking for a man accused of striking multiple employees at a local McDonald’s.

According to the Sanford Police Department, on July 21, 2024, a man entered the McDonald’s located at 112 French Avenue in Sanford. While inside the fast-food restaurant, he began arguing with employees over a food order.

Due to the verbal altercation, McDonald’s staff asked the man to leave the premises. SPD stated that the man refused to leave, and he allegedly proceeded to hit multiple employees.

The employees quickly contacted law enforcement, but the man had left the area prior to SPD officers arriving on scene.

No further details were provided by Sanford police.
