Juan Antonio Fantauzzi Jr., a beloved son, musician, and friend, left this world too soon, leaving behind a legacy of music, love, and kindness.
Born on a warm afternoon in Guayama, Puerto Rico, on October 4, 1996, Tony entered life with a beat in his heart and rhythm in his soul. From the time he received his first drum set at the age of two, it was clear that music would be his lifelong companion. Growing up, Tony’s musical talents blossomed in church, where he played drums and guitar, offering his gift back to God with every beat and strum.
His passion for worship music remained a central part of his life as he later became the Senior Musician at Refugio de Dios church in Florida. There, Tony’s love for music became his ministry, as he played drums and bass guitar with a dedication that inspired those around him. His music was more than just sound—it was his way of worship, of giving, and of connecting with his faith and community.
In addition to his musical talents, Tony had a love for athletics and a strong spirit of discipline. Taught by his father, Tony earned his second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, an achievement that reflected both his commitment and the close bond he shared with his family. His move to Florida at 17 brought new opportunities, and Tony pursued them with enthusiasm, whether it was through music or his passion for getting people moving as DJ TFantz, where he shared his energy and talent with all who listened. But beyond his accomplishments, what truly defined Tony was his heart.
His love for mentoring younger people and his unwavering support for his friends were the hallmarks of his character. To know Tony was to know a friend who was always there, offering kindness, wisdom, and a contagious joy that filled every room he entered. His presence was a gift, and those fortunate enough to call him a friend were blessed by his genuine, warm spirit. Tony’s life was a melody of love, faith, and generosity, and though his time with us was far too short, his impact will resonate for years to come.
He leaves behind his mother, Waleska Tidd, his father, Juan Fantauzzi Sr., his sister, Paola Fantauzzi, and countless friends and family who will forever cherish the memories of his laughter, his music, and the love he so freely gave. Rest in peace, Tony. Your music plays on in our hearts.
