It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Claudette Denis affectionately called Nennen by those who knew her, who left us on October 15 at the age of 85.

A beloved member of the community, Nennen was known for her selflessness, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Born on January 10, 1939 in Haiti to Adrien Denis and Lilia Paillant. Her passions include church, cooking, and her garden. She touched the lives of countless individuals, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, as she was always willing to lend a helping hand even during illness.

Though she never had children of her own, Nennen was a nurturing figure to many including her sister’s two daughters after her untimely death. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she inspired and cared for throughout her life including many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends.
