Lorenzo Lucas Azpiri, a beloved, father, grandfather, and brother passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2024, at his home in Winter Garden, Florida. Born on October 18, 1948, in Cienfuegos, Cuba, Lorenzo was a man who left lasting impressions on everyone he met. He will fondly be remembered for his sweet disposition and a contagious laugh.
Lorenzo dedicated his professional life to real estate. His entrepreneurial spirit also shone through in his proudest accomplishment of opening his own restaurant in Turks and Caicos. Yet, above all, Lorenzo found his greatest pride and joy in his role as a grandfather, in particular to Lucas, Ella, and Mia – each a testament to his legacy and love.
He cherished the simple pleasures in life and created memories taking family vacations to various destinations, spending time on the beach, and embarking on adventures out on the boat. Each moment spent with his family was a treasure to him, full of laughter, joy, and love. His commitment to family was exemplified through his caring nature; he was not just a wonderful friend but also a nurturing presence in the lives of his loved ones.
Lorenzo is survived by his beloved family; his sons, Alex Azpiri and his wife, Elizabeth, and Eddy Azpiri and his wife, Jessie; along with his daughter, Jovanna Toledo and her husband, Duarte; his grandchildren, Lucas Toledo, Ella Toledo, Mia Toledo, Kevin Azpiri, Katarina Azpiri, Eddy Azpiri, and Emily Azpiri; and his sisters, Mirtha Valdes and Yolanda Gutierrez.
Lorenzo was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Maria Azpiri, who undoubtedly influenced the amazing man he became.
His family takes comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on through the love he shared and the memories they hold dearly. His presence will be deeply missed, but his sweet soul and impactful memories will forever remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Winter Park Chapel, 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, FL.
The family will received friends and visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. preceding the service at the funeral home.
