Gloria Miller (nee Ables, formerly Berggren), aged 83 years, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Orlando Hospice House on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.

Gloria was born July 14, 1941 the daughter of the late Charles George Ables and Ruth Nellie Ables (Holmes) of North Branch, MN.

A former resident of North Branch, MN, Gloria spent years actively engaged in the community. Known for stopping Burlington-Northern trains, she was instrumental in the installation of crossing arms at the train tracks on Main St. Moving due to her late husband’s career, it is no surprise that Gloria found herself working for various non-profit and religious organizations over the years. Settling in Orlando in 1987, Gloria served as the Administrative Assistant at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for over 25 years. As a member, she also worked tirelessly on outreach programs and congregational activities. Gloria also found joy in volunteering with the high school where her daughter taught and was often seen chaperoning leadership conferences and events.

Gloria enjoyed cruising and spending time with friends and family. A long-time Disney passholder, she loved taking a stroll around the world and celebrating the holidays in the parks.

Married and divorced to the late Dallas Berggren of North Branch, MN and the late Richard Miller of Chicago, IL, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Beth Berggren of North Branch, MN; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Sudaporn Berggren of Gilbert, AZ; daughter, Michelle Berggren of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and sister, Louise Dufner of Minnetonka, MN.

Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Ables, Jr. and daughter-in-law Cinthia Berggren.
