Joan Strack, 91, passed away on October 9, 2024, in Orlando, FL.
She is survived by James Strack, Jr. – step-son, of Orlando, Diane Strack – daughter-in-law, Melissa Strack – granddaughter, Christina Strack Crowe -granddaughter, Brent Crowe -grandson-in-law, Gabriel Crowe – great-grandson, Charis Crowe – great-granddaughter, Mercy Crowe – great-granddaughter, Za’Riah Crowe – great-granddaughter, ZiYon Crowe – great-grandson, Aryanna Crowe – great-granddaughter, Carol Gates – niece. Marsha Burklew- Cousin.
Joan is preceded in death by James Strack, Sr., her beloved husband.
Joan greatly loved and respected her husband, Jim, and worked alongside him to open the Bowling Green Center for Rehabilitation. Together they helped couples to restore their marriages and overcome addiction to alcohol. They were both experienced in ancient pottery of South America.
Joan Strack loved the sea, having lived many years in a houseboat, sailboat, or near the ocean. She loved to go boating, to fish, and garden, and learned to be a registered sharp shooter in her 80’s. Having survived 3 types of cancer, Joan stayed healthy through her 91st birthday and just two weeks before her death. She was a strong, independent woman, and confident in her faith in Christ as she passed on to heaven.
