Nicholas Christopher Fontana, a remarkable man who touched all our lives deeply. Nicholas was a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a loyal friend, and a light to those who had a pleasure of knowing him.
To his mother Jennifer, Nicholas was a beloved son. She guided him through life with unconditional love and endless encouragement, shaping the man he became. Through every joy and every challenge, Nicholas knew he could count on her steady strength and unwavering devotion. Their connection was a testament to the beauty of a mother’s love- strong, enduring and filled with grace. He carried with him the strength, kindness, and perseverance, that his father David, instilled in him, honoring his father’s memory every day. Nicholas had a unique way of keeping his father’s spirit alive, giving us a reminder of the importance of love and family.
Nick had countless adventures and pranks with his brother Tony growing up. From skateboarding, bike riding, jumping off roofs to stuffing their shirts full of pillows to meet the pizza delivery guy. (turtle, turtle, a little inside joke)
To his sister Ginger and her husband Randle, Nick was always there to lend a hand when needed. Even though he drove her crazy with his excessive coffee drinking and forgetfulness, she could always depend on Nick for a listening ear, bringing humor to any situation, his love and support.
Nicholas had three nieces and one nephew. Summer, Abigail, Samuel, and Liberty. To them he was a fun loving uncle who brought joy and adventure to their lives. From drawing, carving pumpkins, swinging on a playground to jamming out on the guitar and sliding through the kitchen in socks! ( OOOO Charlie Brown, another inside joke) He left them each with treasured memories. He also leaves behind his good buddies Henry and Shadow. Loyal companions always by his side.
Nicholas’s spirit was as free and vibrant as his artistic soul. He was a musician, an artist and at times a comedian. He saw the world through a unique lens, finding beauty and meaning in everything. The beach was his sanctuary, where he felt the most at peace. He was a devoted Lucas Nelson fan, his music always spoke to his heart. Nicholas was a country hippie through and through guided by his love for nature and simplicity.
In his faith in Christ and in his life, Nicholas has left a lasting legacy of love, kindness and light. As we remember him, let us carry forward his zest for life by loving deeply, laughing often, enjoying the simple moments, and to keep our faith. Nicholas may be gone from our sight, but his spirit lives on in each of us in every memory, every song and every moment of kindness.
Rest in peace, Nicholas Christopher. We will hold you in our hearts until we meet again in our Father’s kingdom
