Traffic slowed near a Maitland intersection on Wednesday morning after a SunRail train collided with a car.
According to the City of Maitland, the crash occurred at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, at the train crossing located near the intersection of Horatio Avenue and Maitland Avenue.
The Maitland Police Department and Maitland Fire Rescue Department responded to the scene of the crash. When police and firefighters arrived, the intersection of Horatio Avenue and Maitland Avenue was closed to traffic.
In a social media post following the crash, city officials advised motorists to avoid the area and use extra caution around police detours.
The scene of the crash was eventually cleared, with the intersection reopening shortly before 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
There were no serious injuries reported.
SunRail stated on social media that the crash caused one cancellation on Wednesday morning, and another train experienced a 45-minute delay.
