It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rick (Ricky) Williams of Casselberry, Florida at the age of 67. He passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4th at South Seminole Hospital after a long health battle after a stroke.
He is survived by his wife Darcy Eckers-Williams and son Ryan (Tiffany) Williams and his Granddaughters Ryleigh and Reagan Williams and soon baby Raelynn. He leaves behind his Mother Judith Williams, Siblings, Dale (Colette) Williams, Bonnie (JoJo) Ramos, and Edith Williams. Mother in-Law Carol Wetmiller, Nephews Nathan (Lisa) Williams, Joey Ramos, Alex Ramos, Nieces, Amber Roberson, Nicole Stojanovic, and Tayler Ramos, Uncle Rob (Colleen) Copeland, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Father Richard Williams, Nephew Andrew Williams, Grandparents, cousins and many friends.
Rick was born on March 13, 1957, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Richard and Judith (Copeland) Williams. He graduated from South Allegheny High School in 1975 and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Florida Southern University. In High School he was a member of the Golf Team and was in the Gladiator High School Band where he played Saxophone in the marching and jazz bands and was first chair clarinet in the Concert Band, Rick met the love of his life, Darcy Eckers in 2010 and they were married on Valentines Day, 2023. They enjoyed spending time together watching NFL football following their favorite teams the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings. They also enjoyed watching tennis matches.
Rick was an avid sport enthusiast, loved to play golf and softball. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and attended many Steelers games with his friends and family. He was an accomplished Karaoke singer which he enjoyed singing songs by Neil Diamond and Hootie and the Blowfish. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and he could make an instant relationship with anyone. Everyone enjoyed his humor and his storytelling.
After moving to Florida from Pennsylvania, he began working for Mears Transportation as an Account Executive. He later received his Realtors License and began working as an Appraiser in the Housing Industry.
