Sanford police have arrested a second suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman that was livestreamed on social media.

On Friday, November 8, the Sanford Police Department arrested Lakevia Davonna Pringle, 31, in connection with the shooting death of 34-year-old Lauren Ashley Martin that occurred three days earlier.

Shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, Sanford Police Department officers responded to Greystone Townhomes located in the 1700 block of Travertine Terrace after shots were reportedly fired in the area, according to SPD.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a female victim, Martin, who was laying in the roadway. She was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and she was rushed to a local hospital.

While at the hospital, the victim died from her injuries.

Sanford police launched a homicide investigation, which revealed that the victim had driven to a residence belonging to 35-year-old Savon Chantay Tyler. Upon arriving at the home, the victim and Tyler engaged in an “ongoing argument,” which quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

During the altercation, Tyler allegedly shot the victim multiple times.

According to police, the incident was livestreamed on social media, and detectives are in possession of those videos.

Tyler was arrested and transported to Seminole County Jail, where she is currently being held without bond. She is being charged with first-degree murder.

According to SPD, the second suspect, Pringle, was present during the altercation that led to the fatal shooting. In the livestreamed videos, Pringle was allegedly heard “encouraging Tyler to continue the altercation,” which led to the shooting death of Martin.

The police department stated that detectives have been unable to interview Pringle due to her “lack of cooperation” with the investigation.

On Friday, November 8, Pringle was taken into custody and charged with one count of principle to first-degree premeditated homicide. She is currently being held without bond at Seminole County Jail.
