Leon Jessie Rowland, who departed to be with Jesus on November 23, 2024, leaves behind a legacy of love, witty humor, and countless cherished moments.
He was the cherished husband of Mary Rowland for 49 years, the proud father of Cynthia Saenz, Stacey Smith, and Donald Rowland, and the adored grandfather of Jessica Rowland, Rachel Rowland, Izayha Woods, Myles Jacob Smith, Mason Marco, and Caitlyn Rowland. His love for his grandchildren, whom they affectionately called ‘grampy pa ‘, was a testament to his love and dedication.
Leon was born to Junnis and Mildred Rowland on January 3rd, 1954, in Orlando. He was received in Heaven by his parents, his brothers Hoyt and Johnny Rowland, and his sister Becky Phillips. Surviving sisters are Louise Brown, Diane Moore, Brenda Moore, and Nancy Moore.
Leon worked many jobs throughout his life, but the one constant was taking care of his family. He ensured everyone knew we were loved, and his grandkids knew they could count on him whenever needed.
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this difficult time, and we take comfort in knowing that Leon’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
