Jerome R. (Jerry) Guerrein died peacefully on 27 November, 2024 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 75.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jody, Daughter Karla Ruiz (Peter Ruiz) of Jacksonville. FL, Son Frank Guerrein (Madonna Albanese) and Grandson Theodore Guerrein of Orlando, FL, his brother Mark Guerrein of Atlanta, GA and Sister Anne Dixon (Jack Dixon) of Huntersville, NC. Jerome is preceded in death by his Father Raymond A. Guerrein and Mother Joan Marsh Guerrein.
Jerry was born on April 23, 1949 in Cleveland, OH to Raymond and Joan Guerrein. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1967, Marshall University in 1971 (Bachelors) and Seattle City College in 1980 (MBA). From 1971 to 1977 he served in the US Army as a Helicopter Pilot with duty stations in Washington, DC and Korea. After serving in the Army, he moved to the Seattle, WA area and worked for The Boeing Company where he met his wife Jody in 1980. In 1981, he moved to Orlando, Florida to work for Martin Marietta and then Lockheed Martin. His career was principally in procurement, working on Government Missile System programs and as the IT Procurement Manager.
Jerry was a devoted husband and father. He was a musician and played guitar in the Catholic Music Ministry for over 30 years. Jerry was a poet and published a book of poetry in 2009, “Reflections From My Guitar Case”. Jerry enjoyed traveling to Europe. He loved to garden; brew craft beer and he loved his precious dogs and cats.
